The growing potential of organic
The global organic market is growing, thanks to health-conscious consumers who want greater transparency on how their food is sourced and produced.
Today’s savvy shoppers are looking for labels they can trust, that demonstrate a product is sustainable, and free from pesticides and hidden ingredients. Organic products are perceived as fresher and healthier, and give consumers the traceability they want.
With predictions that the global organic food and drink market could grow to $680 billion by 2027, this is a sector with plenty of potential. At Ingredion, our experts can work with you to find the best ingredient solution for your application. Partner with us to create delicious, consumer-winning organic foods with optimal sensory appeal.
Why do consumers choose organic?
Trust
Organic is the most transparent, heavily regulated and consumer-driven food system. It provides consumers with traceability they can trust.
Nutrition
Consumers are concerned about artificial ingredients, pesticides and ingredients that do not appear on the label. They view products with simple labels as fresh and healthy.
Sustainability
Organic is better for the environment. Sustainability is a growing trend that resonates with younger consumers who are looking for clean and simple products.
